9 Things To Remember
1. Find The Right Stories To Tell
You do not need stellar stories, you need stellar storytelling.
Many people complain that their life is not spectacular enough for them to share inspiring stories. The secret is to take your ordinary experiences into extraordinary stories that connect across cultures. Check out the replay of the Master Class below.

2. Seek Feedback Before Muscle Memory
When Should You Get Feedback?
The earlier you get feedback, the better. You definitely need to get feedback before you take the stage. Once you have progressed to rehearsing or delivering your speech, you start to develop muscle memory. That makes further corrections, unlearning and changing course harder. We tend to fall in love with what we create. But, that is a trap that prevents us from going from good to great.
In your pursuit to seek feedback, remember to distinguish between qualified feedback and nonqualified feedback.

3. Level Up Your Mindset For Winning
Ride the roller-coaster of emotions smoothly by uplifting your approach
Most people want to win, and are afraid to lose. Losing makes some people behave out of character, which affects them in the long-term. Similarly, winning results can result in a false sense of superiority, leading to avoidable losses. So, how can you level up your mindset for winning? Years ago, I wrote an article about this that went viral. It's called "Are Judges Smart or Stupid?". Remember to spend quality time carefully going through this article to understand the inner game that will help you become the speaker others would like to listen to, and judges will vouch for.

4. Do Not Reinvent The Wheel
Others Have Already Made Mistakes You Can Learn From
We are wired to stay in the comfort zone repeating what we always did. Sometimes our ego makes us want to start from scratch. But true mastery comes from unlearning habits that are not serving you and relearning new techniques that you are not used to, but proven to work. Why start from scratch, making all the mistakes others made through trial and error, when you can stand on top of the shoulders of giants?
5. Leverage Objective Outsider Perspectives
Constructive Expert Insights Will Save You Years of Effort
We are wired to stay in the comfort zone repeating what we always did. Sometimes our ego makes us want to start from scratch. But true mastery comes from unlearning habits that are not serving you and relearning new techniques that you are not used to, but proven to work.
As Ken Blanchard says, "Feedback is the breakfast of champions". Why start from scratch, making all the same mistakes others have already made over the years, when you can stand on top of the shoulders of giants and save years of effort?
This is an investment you make in yourself, to save time, avoid mistakes, and deepen your impact, to become the speaker you could be.

6. Focus on Connection. Not Perfection.
Your Path to Rewards Runs Through The Heart of Your Listeners
We want to speak well and win big. But the secret to doing that is developing your ability to win hearts & minds, every time you speak. Many speakers try to deliver a perfect speech, the result of which is that they fail to connect with their listeners. Do you remember a time you listened to a speaker who was fluent, eloquent and delivered well, but you didn't feel anything? You get the point. The speaker needs to focus on connection, not perfection.
Make your speeches universal so that almost anyone can connect to you and your ideas. Even people who are not familiar with you should feel the connection, and feel inspired to act.

8. The bigger goal is to PRIME your audience
Don't miss the woods for the trees
When we become too focussed on becoming better speakers, we do not see the larger context behind learning the skill. The key to achieving long-term success and to achieving big goals is to become the leader others admire and follow with delight. When you are able to communicate like a leader, you are better able to rally others behind your goals, and make your dreams become a reality.

9. Embrace Leadership & Mindset Shifts
Your Next Level Role Needs the Next Level You!
While most people have big dreams, they do not notice the need to create the mindset shifts and skills upgrades needed to become the person who can convert those big dreams into reality. The secret here is that you have to work on yourself, discover your gaps and fix those gaps. These gaps usually appear in three forms: knowledge gap, skills gap, and mindset gaps. The successful are those who identify their gaps through deepening self-awareness, being open to seek constructive feedback from people they want to be like, and taking consistent-deliberate action in a disciplined manner.
Your future self relies on your current efforts to embrace leadership and mindset shifts.
